Unusual antique figural cleaver with the head of a bird or chick on the spine with lightweight carbon steel blade, brass ferrule, copper riveted crown stag handle.
The blade's only markings are three crowns with crosses on the top. Unusually, the crown stag is in two separate scales, the blade goes 3/4 through and the last 1/4 is brass spacers.
An interesting old cleaver here, the lightweight might make it less ideal for heavy butchery but it is a beautiful old piece.
Not sharpened by Bernal but the old edge is still viable
